There are new rules on what name you can choose for company.  The Business Names Act 1985 has been replaced by the Company and Business Names (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2009.

A company can now only register a similar name eg Lawgistics (2010) Ltd, Lawgistics (Seychelles) Ltd, if it forms part of the same group of companies.  Equally the name cannot differ in a trivial way eg Lawg-istics Ltd.

There is also a restriction on the length of the company name to 160 characters and symbols can only be used after the first three characters.  This presumable is in line with using, say, www.Lawgistics.Ltd
