It seems that the government are for once making a positive change in relation to parking fines.

From later this month all on and off street council parking spots will be given a 10 minute grace period from the expiry of the time on the ticket, before a fine is issued.

There are further proposals to review resident parking permits but as yet nothing has been confirmed.

Also CCTV cameras that issue parking fine are to be rendered illegal, except around schools and bus lanes. Again no implementation date for this has been announced.
