A Keighley lighting firm was prosecuted when a HSE inspection revealed appalling working conditions, and exposure of workers to defective equipment and welding fumes.
Some parts of the building were at just 4 degrees. Toilets were in a disgusting state and were claimed to be a high disease risk for anyone using them. There was ineffective protective equipment and fume extraction in the welding area.
