Dealers are set to have a quicker and easier system in place to get RFL tax discs on new vehicles when they are registered.
At the moment a nominated person is obliged to visit a DVLA office and queue to get new tax discs but in future, under the AFRL scheme, which is web based, then the dealers can receive tax discs directly from Swansea and be able to tax vehicles up to 14 days before registration date.
In addition customers will be allowed 14 days from registration without a tax disc.
