The Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Act 2018 has received Royal Assent. The Government therefore expects to be introducing the Regulations and bringing the Act fully into force by April 2020.
The Act provides an entitlement to two weeks of time away from work, for those employees who have lost a child under 18 years old.
The supporting regulations which have not been published yet, will contain further details regarding payment during the two week leave.
