ACAS has recently issued new guidances on suspension and on impact of overtime on holiday pay.
Although ACAS guidance is not compulsory, it sets the best practice and the standards which the courts and tribunals will apply in case of a dispute.
The guidance on suspension covers not only disciplinary suspension but also suspension on medical grounds and due to a risk to new or expectant mothers. The guidance includes advice on pay during suspension.
The guidance on impact of overtime on holiday pay updates ACAS advice in view of the recent court decisions which included regular overtime into holiday pay calculations.
