Three individual parts of Backworth Motor Group, DAJ (North East) Ltd, Michael John Howarth (jnr) and Darren Atkinson have been taken to task by North Tyneside Trading Standards for many offences regarding the descriptions and quality of cars sold, as well as their checks (or lack of) on vehicles for sale.
The Defendants had received much advice from the Trading Standards Officers previously but had not acted upon it.
The Judge ordered the Defendants pay fines of £17,750, compensation of £4,751 and costs of £10,000.
