In a recent Radio 4 programme Money Box, mention was made that the Citizens Advice Bureau are being lined up to take over Consumer Direct. In addition the Office of Fair Trading may be merged with the Competition Commission. The criminal ‘consumer activities’ may be passed to Trading Standards Departments but given the squeeze on their budgets, there would seem to be little activity
