One of the writer’s biggest gripes in his working life is the constant mis-interpretation of the Sale of Goods Act, especially around the so called “reverse burden of proof” also known as the “six month rule”.
You can almost forgive the CAB for getting it wrong because by and large many of their advisers are not legally qualified and perhaps not necessarily legally attuned to the finer points of the Act in the first place.
However, recently the BBC offered two template letters of questionable effectiveness and legal accuracy in their otherwise excellent “The One Show” website and broadcast. The link to those letters is below.
