We welcomed the Law Commission’s recent report highlighting to government the problems with existing legislation and the ambiguities that they presently bring.
We are hopeful that this report will provide the impetus for a law to be passed that will bring and make this important area for businesses easier to understand and interpret. The problem of course is that writing an Act of Parliament is like writing Terms and Conditions.
You cannot write things in a way that covers every intention or eventuality. There are certain people who are paid to find loopholes… they are called lawyers!
