A UK customer hired a car in Spain and when he had returned home noticed he had been charged 256 Euros on his credit card because the parcel shelf was missing!

Thinking to himself that it hadn’t somehow slipped into his pocket or into his suitcase he quite rightly complained because there had not been a parcel shelf when he took it out on hire!

He established from the manufacturer that the parcel shelf is not fitted as standard equipment.  Using the services of the UK European Consumer Centre he received a refund.
