On Thursday 4th November, the motor trade came together for a genuinely uplifting evening at the Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards — a fantastic event celebrating the talent, resilience and commitment of women across our sector.

First and foremost, congratulations to all of the winners and finalists. The standard across the room was exceptional, and the evening was a timely reminder of just how much expertise and quiet graft keeps this industry moving.

For us, the highlight was seeing Nona, our Head of Legal Services, recognised as the “Unsung Hero” — and it could not have gone to a more deserving person.

Nona was shortlisted for three awards on the night, which in itself speaks volumes. But winning this award felt especially fitting. For years, she has been a constant, calm and trusted guide to the motor trade, helping dealers navigate wave after wave of legal and regulatory change.

From the ongoing complexities of the Consumer Rights Act, to GDPR, through the disruption of COVID, and more recently the challenges around commission disclosures, Nona has been there — day in, day out. Always practical. Always measured. Always focused on helping businesses do the right thing in the real world, not just on paper.

Much of this work happens quietly, behind the scenes. No fuss. No noise. Just consistent, reliable guidance when it matters most. That is exactly why this recognition means so much.

We are incredibly proud of Nona and delighted to see her contribution acknowledged on a national stage. Sometimes the most important people in the room aren’t the loudest — and this award got it absolutely right.

Congratulations, Nona — fully deserved.
