Purposes and legal basis for processing

Personal details given to, or collected by Lawgistics, will be used to provide legal advice, administer clients self funded warranties, produce invoices, take payment, deliver orders and send our legal updates and marketing material. This data will be processed on the lawful basis of contract and legitimate business.

Both inbound and outbound telephone calls to our office are recorded. These recordings will be processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interest. The legitimate interest being pursued is quality control and employee training.

CCTV footage is also captured on our premises. These recordings will be processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interest. The legitimate interest being pursued is keeping the property, employees and visitors safe and secure. 


Third party recipients of your data
 

To ensure your personal details are kept safe we store them digitally on virtual servers hosted in a UK data centre.

In the course of business, our IT support companies will have access to your details. We may also pass your details on to third parties such as payment services, specialists consultants, assessors or barristers.

All our website financial transactions are handled through our payment services provider, Realex Payments. You can review the Realex Payments privacy policy at www.realexpayments.co.uk. We will share information with Realex Payments only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments you make via our website and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments.

We have agreements in place with all these third party recipients of your data, to ensure they are looking after your data to GDPR standards.


Retention periods

Contact details for marketing purposes will be kept indefinitely by Lawgistics Ltd unless you opt out, request them to be deleted, close your business or change address.

Telephone recordings and CCTV footage will be kept for a period of 6 months

 All other personal data, unless otherwise advised, will be kept for a period of 7 years in order to comply with HMRC requirements. 


Your rights in regard to your personal data

As a Data Subject you have a number of rights in regard to your personal data and these include the right to request from Lawgistics Ltd access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning your data or to object to processing as well as the right of data portability. Consent

Where we have processed personal data on the lawful basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
