We still receive many complaints when dealers are introduced to a deal, often with utilities, but also with rate reduction companies, business directories etc by a keen salesperson over the phone or face to face.

The person listening to the other person can have various promises made verbally but magically they evaporate when the contact terms are reviewed.

The simple answer is don’t commit until you have had a chance to review what you are signing up to.  The Courts, unfortunately, will stand by the written word over and above unsubstantiated verbal descriptions.  If the business is worth looking at, they will not pressurise you and will give you time consider.

Remember, ‘if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is’.
