That’s another “fine” mess you got me into!

We recently had cause to challenge the imposition of a traffic penalty imposed on one of our clients by London Borough of Bromley Council.

After we pointed out a number of “irregularities” the Council cancelled the penalty and wrote a letter of apology and, to their credit, they admitted that they had made errors.

This was not a case though of a lawyer “getting off” a client on some minor legal technicality.  It was clear that our client had sold the car in question before the offence had occurred and that the problem escalated (in part) due to the evidence proving the sale repeatedly not having been considered by the Council.
