A Cambridgeshire retailer was fined £1000 for failing to have a current Employers Liability Compulsory Insurance certificate.  His employees would not be able to claim on the insurance if they experienced an accident at work.  A copy of the Employers Liability Compulsory Insurance certificate must be produced if requested by a Health and Safety Executive Inspector.
