Dismisal and Redundancy 

This course will deal with the thorny issue of termination of contracts of employment.  It will deal with issues relating from the malingerer to those long term sick, from retirement to redundancy, from abusive behaviour to non cooperation, from lateness to excessive days off sick, and from theft to smoking.

Whatever the problem is that upsets the unity of the workplace, it needs dealing with at the early stages.  This course will identify the problem, provide guidance and resources to deal with it and restore the workplace tranquillity you require.

  • Disciplinary and Grievance procedures and how to handle them

On completion, delegates will be able to:
  • Identify potential disciplinary matters and deal with them before they become disasters
  • Understand the Disciplinary and Grievance procedures and how to apply them.
  • Know the grounds for Gross Misconduct and Instant Dismissal and when to issue a written warning.
  • Understand the powers and workings of Tribunals.
