Nicola joined Lawgistics in May 2011, to take over and enhance our employment law programme, due to her background in Human Resources.

Nicola had, prior to this, completed her Law Degree (LLB Hons) and Legal Practice Course in 2009 at the University of Northumbria, where she specialised in Employment Law through live case work in their Student Law Office. She is in the process of obtaining her Chartered Legal Executive Qualification through Cilex. 

After graduating she began working for a medium sized hospitality company, charged with implementing and managing a Human Resources Department from scratch.  This involved the complete Re-drafting all staff contracts of employment and company policy and procedure documents, Managing all disciplinary and grievance meetings, and associated procedure compliance, Introducing and designing staff appraisal procedures, Staff liaison and Employee Relations issues, Monitoring all holiday, sickness and other statutory leave, Managing all recruitment activities including selection decisions, Delivering staff induction programs, including collation of all relevant paperwork and, Advising the company directors on any HR issues as and when they arise, including representation at Employment Tribunal when required.

Since joining Lawgistics, Nicola has gained valuable specialist knowledge in Consumer Protection Law relating to the Motor Industry. She also deals with client Intellectual Property and Defamation Law cases.
